  • The cold pressing method preserves the oil’s micronutrients and flavours. Thus, the cold pressed oils contain high levels of protein and antioxidants.
  • What is the benefit of cold pressing over hot pressing? The hot pressing process involves the extraction of oil by combining high heat (200°C) with chemical solvents. This high temperature destroys most of the original nutrients.

Wood Cold Pressed Gingelly Oil | மரச்செக்கு நல்லெண்ணெய் (1 litre)

Sesame seeds are purified by pouring them in water and removing their husks, then organic jaggery is added and Gingelly (or Sesame) oil is prepared by cold pressing (49°C) with wood.

The mill has exclusive wood cold pressing units for Gingelly oil, Groundnut oil and Coconut oil.  Focus is given to make sure that the ingredients are organic. Sree Kamatchi Amman Oil Mill has FSSAI License (# 12423028000149) to produce oils.
